The fact is words have several meanings, and it's hard to know someone's position with these labels. This is why terms like strong/weak atheism are needed because they are more precise ... just like Methodist, Baptist, Calvinists, etc are more precise labels for the varying Christian beliefs.

There are certain things that can vary with a label but the rejection of the belief is not it. Strong atheism, weak atheism or even antitheism all are still under the rejection of the belief. Why? because atheism itself is literally without god while agnosticism isn't. That difference alone makes it part of the atheist labels.

I agree. And agnosticism is literally without knowledge ... which is why someone can both be without knowledge and without belief.

the problem is because these cats think because their "faith" in the existence of a god is belief they think that the lack of belief is a belief itself when it is not. the lack of belief is as much a belief as silence is a genre of music.
