Having more "ranked wins" is a useless metric because SEC teams will often be ranked higher in preseason polls...probably half the conference gets ranked.

They win their easy OOC games and then play each other. If everyone is ranked, doesn't play tough OOC and then loses to each other....no one falls far and then if they win, they get the boost.

The losses have to matter more than the wins. All ranked wins being in-conference is pointless when hardly anyone in the conference played a tough OOC.
Beating good teams is useless :dead:

How about this , SMu beat 1 team all year with 9 or more wins

Of course the ATL
Who did SMu beat?

Ofc you don’t want Bama in

Bro I’m a SEC Champion, IDGAF who we have to play. But my message to Bama fans: Play better. Don’t lose by 3 TDs to OU, don’t get dominated by Vandy. You’ve got 3 losses, you have no room to complain

Enjoy your trip to the Continental Tire Bowl or Gator Bowl or wherever the fukk yall are goin for your bowl game

SMU came into yesterday ranked ahead of Indiana. Nothing that happened in the game last night should change that. SMU or Alabama shouldn't even be the discussion. It should be Indiana or Alabama

Indiana only has 1 loss though. You can talk about SOS but here's the thing, every team in these super conferences are playing unbalanced schedules. Alabama didn't play every single good team in the SEC and two of their losses are to the bottom teams in the SEC.

Next year or the year after Indiana's schedule will be much tougher

SMU played BYU and TCU on their non conference schedule. Indiana played FIU, Western Illinois, and Charlotte. They also cancelled their game against Louisville and replaced it with one of those 3 because apparently Louisville was too difficult of an OOC opponent for them. Rewarding Indiana over a SMU team that is already ranked ahead of them who made it to it's conference championship game, lost on a game winning kick, and played a much harder OOC schedule, sets a dangerous precedent.

If you're in the SEC, ACC, Big 10, or Big 12, there's no excuse for not having at least 1 OOC game against one of the other leagues. Allowing Indiana to sneak in only encourages cancelling those games and replacing them with FCS Northwest. It's bad for the game

So SMU should be punished for being better than Bama and Indiana?

If SMU was off yesterday like them, they would be in

Think about that....

If Alabama gets in this whole system is worthless and they should just make a playoff every year with Bama and 3 other teams.
