That was never the narrative. The narrative was that Westbrook was coming home to LA even when they were winning and had KD. He never gave any indicators to that. That was just the media putting it out there.

Kemba on the other hand isn’t winning. He should be playing on a contender. Dude is fukking second in scoring playing for a team that ain’t going no where. Kemba on the lakers or pairing with KD in NYC would be ideal. Dude doesn’t get the respect he deserves. Kemba is just as good as any top PG in the NBA

Westbrook has been a 1st round exit since KD left so this entire comment is hypocritical because he isn't on a contender himself. Kemba hasn't asked for a trade over the last two years when he's more than deserved it, even with the media rumblings that he would be dealt so how is this "narrative" different.

who cares about the first round exit...that's mostly on westbrook than the team. Nobody had the Jazz beating them, I was one of the few cuz I rock with Spida.

Not a contender?? The Thunder at full strength beat the NBA champs twice at home and in their building :gucci:

He's been a 4th seed while Kemba has been a 10th and 11th seed.

Demanding a trade as a 4th seed is different from Demanding a trade as a 10th and 11th seed. If you can't see the differences then IDK what to tell you.

He was a first round exit the year before that against the Rockets. If you wanna argue that the Hornets have done a shyt job at building around Kemba as he developed after he signed that contract, sure, join the line. But to use Westbrook as a joke of leaving to go to a contender when he's been a first round exit for the past two years is stupid.

And if your notion of a contender is beating the Warriors a couple of times one off times, maybe we should sign Marcelo Huertas wherever he is.

And you just proved my point...The media said that, not Westbrook. Westbrook was WINNING in OKC and making deep playoff pushes at the time. The difference is Kemba has been at home in May. He has 0 reasons to stay.

yes he did derserve that contract...dude had a 17 and 6 season on 42%. He did it once so he could do it again. The percentages weren't where you want them the next two years but the skill set was still there....All the Analytic #'s show he was making strides even after that step back(no pun) in 2012-2013. Maybe he wasn't worth the 80m JW got at that time but Kemba was def worth 48m.

fukk outta here he wasn't even clearly better than brandon knight going into that contract at the beginning of the season :mjlol: dude was shooting us out of games constantly

he wasn't even trusted as the primary distributor in the half court. we had to protect him with boris diaw and mcroberts at the high post because he couldn't do shyt after beating the first defender :dead:

Maybe if y’all had better 3 point shooters surrounding Kemba like they do with Wall, and Westbrook he wouldn’t have such a hard time driving and kicking. Instead this was out there.

Kemba was the best scoring option. It was him or bust so obviously he’s going to shoot you out of games, just like he shoots you in games. Dude never had no consistent second scorer to carry the load.

nikka he fukking lost the second best player in the world. Oladipo was still fat then. He hadnt gotten in shape yet.

nikka everyone on earth thought the thunder had a legit shot with melo. People didn’t think melo was going to fall off that bad. Everyone was calling them the new big 3. There has been no reason for Westbrook to demand a trade.

he wasn't the best scoring option. and even then he was dependent on batum to be effective as a scorer. batum showed up and ran the offense better than kemba EVER did (prior to getting paid and becoming a fukking bum)

MKG was probably the best thing to happen to him since he's always been one of the best off-ball cutters in the NBA since his rookie year. MKG and Cody were bailing Kemba out by catching his grenades since they've been drafted. Why? because Kemba couldn't even get to the rim or draw a foul until recently

the shooting as a team sucked because clifford didn't believe in corner 3s - we were one of the few teams to consistently be in the top 3 when it came to off the dribble and contested 3 point shots. why? again because kemba couldn't create shyt as a point guard. he'd happily take a bad shot before getting someone a quality look. shyt, last year was his best year and he STILL can't throw a lob for shyt :dead:

and kemba got stuck playing the LBJ-Heat twice and each time our other key players got injured during the series :mjlol:

you pushing the most casual narrative on this and I'm openly all about trading Kemba before we get stuck giving him the Mike Conley max

plenty of time to recover but this is an ungodly bad performance so far
kemba on that bullshyt again where he should've just sat. that back injury was obviously more severe than he wanted to admit and no one in the organization got enough bass in their voice to tell him to sit

i wish so bad that someone would plant some cocaine in batum's locker to get him the fukk up out the rotation though...
