He very well may be wrong/exaggerating about low PPV buys there. I’ve heard different reports so don’t know what is accurate. I don’t think the fight ever should have happened but if they did 270 thousand I think that’s decent numbers. It isn’t a huge gigantic success but it’s good for a fight that wasn’t really in huge demand. I think the Fury rematch can do 500 thousand plus.

It’s not about Hearn and Wilder liking eachother, they don’t need to. Doesn’t mean him and AJ can’t fight, rivals and enemies fight all the time.

AJ wanted the fight and the 120 million deal and other career high offers were made way before the mandatory would be called. That’s why they wanted it so badly then so it could be undisputed.

There’s no real evidence AJ is tied up well into 2021, he may be tied up now until early 2021 now yes, that’s why Wilder should have accepted it when both were free but he didn’t and tied HIMSELF up, that’s what actually happened. It’s irrelevant anyway because Wilder has signed to fight Fury and then fight him again, also it looks like he may have to fight Whyte, at least by February 2021 so that means he’s tied now till 2021. That’s what I was trying to explain to you the other day, there’s no point talking about AJ vs Wilder right now, it’s not happening anytime soon. AJ wants the fight so bad he’d even drop a belt to fight Wilder but Wilder has said the fight will NEVER happen, EVER. He refuses to fight AJ, I don’t know why. It’s not a fight that’s impossible for him to win so I don’t know why, seems like he doesn’t want to take the risk.

LOL Wilder gave AJ and Hearn multiple opportunities to come correct and stop playing games.. Wilder got fed up with Hearn and AJs ducking, lying and being disrespected in the media and told Hearn and AJ to kick rocks while he handles business with Fury instead.. Even if you think Wilder Ortiz numbers were less than stellar, the 275k number means they grossed $20 million from ppv buys alone. Ortiz ain't a PPV draw, that's Wilders raw star power drawing in a country where PPVs cost $75 each, and we've already had 4 other PPVs from Fox this year alone.

I don't read too much into struggling ticket sales because Fury has struggled twice and even Canelo saw his sales dip in November, in Vegas.

Also, the $120 million deal was terrible. Any competing networks with a fight that big would split the first and second fight -- I/e first fight on Dazn second fight fox ppv etc. Dazn tried to get Wilder on a four fight deal, didn't disclose what Joshua's split was, and understandably turned the deal down. It doesn't matter if it would've been Wilder's highest payday, the Dazn executives basically admitted that Wilder would be getting underpaid when they didn't want to tell him what the split was.

I hate that I keep making posts on this, so imma stop. I just want the fight to be made, but I know it's long shot we see it happen 2020.
