So I watched the whole documentary, and I had to laugh at that white people who were like they were invading into our lands, changing "our culture". LMAO. Isn't that what white people did for thousands of years? It hurts when it is the other way around.
Sheela fukked up by picking Oregon though, peep the history of the founding of Oregon when you have time. It was basically a safe haven for white supremacists. All those people were racist as fukk. I wouldn't be surprised if they were racist as fukk to the Rajneeshes or whatever they were called. All this foreignness was too much for them.

on episode 2 so far i was like well damn is it that bad they built a pretty impressive community by themselves and they had some pretty solid basic tenets with peace and harmony and all that shyt if you ignore their worship of a man as god....until that movie theater with them screaming naked that had me like

finally finished it. crazy story. never heard nothing about this which kinda throws me for how big of an event they were making it seem like
basically a story with no winners. just an overall display of humans being humans. from the criminals in the cult to the bigoted town to the media's demonization of the poor as street people to the government doing they usual thing to the people in the cult who were just lost looking for something aspirational and pure only to get that harsh reality slap
