American Capitalism has the GOAT propaganda wing. I'll give it that. People always talk about what competing economic system wouldn't work in America when Capitalism itself barely works in America (for the average citizen, you know, the persons that matter) despite the entire system being designed and maintained for it's success.
We are the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world yet we are full of poor, fat, uneducated, mentally/emotionally deficient, and violent citizens. You'd think if Capitalism worked the whole country would be prospering, not just the stock market. If you truly believe it's working as designed and you're okay with that you're an idiot.
Capitalism working as intended only lasted about 30 years (if that), from 1945-1975. And that's being generous. For the first 20 years Black Americans didn't even get a chance to participate. By the time we were granted "the right" to fully engage with the system any elements meant to benefit the common man were actively being dismantled.
When I see someone, particularly a black person, champion Capitalism it reminds me of how a toddler puts on their father's clothing; they look silly. Worse yet, you aren't even supposed to be in the house, let alone touching stuff. We are neither loved nor wanted here. It's one thing to take advantage of the broken American Capitalist machine, but to champion it. Sickening.
