Understood.
The longer you're in the service, the more linear your thinking is in regards to certain things especially when you're physically exposed to it.
I've been to Venezuela post Chavez, which was an adventure in itself since we had to cross over from Colombia to even get into VZ. I think folks here are just in love with the ideal of Socialism and are dismissive of it's flaws, which are painfully apparent for those people down there. And it's hilarious because if you're wealthy..you can still get your steak and potatoes, your Dolce and Gabbana, full cart of groceries, etc..you're paying more but who cares if you're rich. The end game falls to the same line..the rich stay rich and everyone else just falls to waste side.
I think most of these young folks toying with these ideals are "sparkles in their eyes", naive, idealists who don't have a clue of historical precedent and have not actually exposed themselves enough to merit carrying a banner for a system that's inherently foreign to them.
