Wii-U Sells 400K First Week in US

Majority of those games are last generation ports

So what!!! Doesn't diminish the quality of games or take away from launch and most of the ports are enhanced specifically to take advantage of the Wii U! Me personally I'm loving the new gamepad and touch screen!!! and as for next gen yeah my wallets ready for that too

Not that I care about these sorts of things, but according to this report they earn a profit for every 1-to-1 console/software sold.

Nintendo selling 400k is NOT impressive. Especiialy when a 6yr old xbox sold probably more than that during black friday since they usually average close to a mil around this time. Then more than a mil sold during Xmas.

As stated in my first post I don't care about who sells the most consoles or who is for real gamers or not. Nintendo made the console they wanted to make, people bought it and they were able to turn a profit is all I was saying. I stopped caring about "console wars" in highschool breh.

Dawg the Wii U launch lineup shyts on all launch line ups ever,way too many sick games,NSMBU,TEKKEN,ZOMBIU(straight piff) BLOPS 2,NintendoLand,Sonic Transformed,Assassins 3, and that's just day 1!!!!! I'm a Hardcore Gamer I would have copped even if the launch line up was ass,that's just me I buy all new consoles but Im a Xbot for sure also a Big N fanatic,and will buy Sony off the strength of GOW and Uncharted alone,and I'm straight loving the Wii U,ALL HATERZ CAN SUCK THEIR OWN DADS COCK!!!!

Yea, but let's be reality, some of you guys may me eating a little bit of crow. The Wii U has a much better launch than the Wii and the Gamecube had from a games standpoint. I got the Batman game and Mario game for my Wii you and that touchscreen is a pretty novel concept. The system looks as good as my PS3 and XBox on my tv, so that's not really an issue. Also, I think the gap between generations is shrinking somewhat, I don't think next gen is going to make the same leap as previous gens, at least not immediately. So this talk of the Wii U running on last generation does not have as much traction. Also the sheer number of ports at this juncture show that porting games is a lot easier on this than it was on the Wii, you don't really have to dumb the graphics down that much maybe just adjust the optimization and resolution. Nintendo has at least a year head start on the next wave of systems and quite frankly, by the time Sony and Microsoft drop their next systems they will probably drop the price. It's quite ingenious business wise.

My only major gripe about the Wii U, is storage, even though you can remedy that with an external, but still it's a problem, especially since Nintendo is going to have an extensive download library very quickly and the internet implementation is still ass backwards, albeit considerable better than the Wii, though I kind of understand since the Wii-U skews a lot younger and parents get nervous.

Don`t get me wrong guys,the Wii U is not gonna be the most powerful system next gen,heck in some ways its not even the most powerful now,but nobody makes games like Nintendo,the next Zelda,Metroid,Smash Bros,and all of the core series games got me real excited,plus I got a little guy my son whos 2 and change that is going batshyt over the new Mario and I`m loving ZombiU But best believe I`m anticipating the REAL NEXT GEN games as much as yall Me personally I think I`m gonna cop the NextBox first before PS4,just the thought of Gears,Alan Wake and COD next gen got me all

As a fan of NINTENDO the reactions I've read about the Wii-U I hope this filth flops something terrible. Hopefully that pushes them into bringing out a console which is worthy enough to grace my TV set.
