In my opinion, the anger towards Ciara and Russell's relationship stems from these nikkas seeing Russell in themselves. They don't think she deserves to be with Russell because "if he wasn't an athlete, she wouldn't have given him the time of day". They think she should be perpetually punished for choosing "bad boys" before getting with Russell.

They view Russell as the successful version of themselves and if they were in his shoes, they would have fukked and dumped Ciara instead of marrying her. or at least that's what they'd like to believe.

It's by extension with me - Everytime a white/other hits on me, I am disgusted at the mere notion that I would date much less engage in any sexual activity with him. It's simply gross for lack of a better word.
