To me, it's not really a "wait until the big 4". It's moreso that the E has gotten fans into a throwaway mentality where they know the b level PPVs will usually have a shytty build, not to mention that where the two guys (or ladies or teams) will fight every week before the PPV in some way, then have the exact same fukking rematch the night after the PPV match.

WM builds seem to be slightly better in terms of time to build a feud and overall effort (creatively) that's put into the entire story. It's definitely not always a given, but it's called WM season for a reason.

IMO, when a big match build is done right, such as the entire Reigns/Strowman saga and even Brock/Braun now, it doesn't matter where the match is done. To me it's actually preferable that the goodness is equally distributed across the year like the attitude era.

This.

I made as much fun of The great balls of fire as anyone but I refuse to act like I didn't enjoy the hell out of that show.

No Mercy is gonna be one of the most pivotal non big 4 ppvs of the last 3-4 Years.:ehh:

I'm praying that some of y'all don't play ya selves & not re up on your subscription.:francis:
I really wish WWE would go the UFC route on some events

call it

"WWE No Mercy: Braun vs Brock" making it feel like a mega fight just like "Mayweather vs McGregor"

and then....
"Clash of Champions: Nakamura vs Mahal"

it just gives it a vintage feel

If anything, it's in WWE's best interest to put more big moments and matches on B PPV's and Smackdown/Raw. The big 4 are, well, the big 4. They'll do numbers regardless. The only one that may need a push is Survivor Series because they haven't treated it well over the years, but Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Royal Rumble are guaranteed to sell out and get big views on the network.

But WWE doesn't just want you to tune in then. They want you watching Raw and Smackdown and subscribed to the Network for shyt like No Mercy and Battleground. Which means those events need to have things like title changes and the odd "dream match" to make them feel like they matter.

Now I get wanting the big 4 to have the special matches (though I feel that's mainly an issue for Mania and Summerslam, as SurSer and the Rumble have their own specialty matches). But from a business perspective, you shouldn't be commmunicating to customers that there are only 4 nights in calendar year where something important will happen.

Didn't last year SmackDown had multiple "special event" nights like that wild card night why can't the "PPV"s be like that ?

House shows should be on the network

I don't quite understand it from a business standpoint or really as a viewer either, I don't mind seeing big matches at these B-level shows obviously because otherwise why watch :manny:

BUT as I was saying, if the plan is Roman vs. Brock at Mania then I'd say having Brock/Braun or Roman/Cena would have made more sense for the Superdome
