I swear i hate that mentality.

WWE ppvs in the "Attitude Era" all felt big. Wrestlemania only felt different because it was held in a football arena.

I like how they're keeping the ball rolling. Id rather see "Braun vs Brock" now while Braun's momentum is sky high than to try to save it till April 2018 and the fans turn on him.

This mentality of waiting 12 months till the Next Wrestlemania to put out a big time match is :camby:

Wrestlemania sells itself nowadays. Its a huge pop culture event. The casuals are gonna order cuz its Wrestlemania and the hardcore fanbase is gonna order cuz they follow the storylines each week

WWE is doing something wrong if they feel they blew their Wrestlemania 34 load early on Braun vs Brock and Cena vs Roman at "No Mercy"

They got all them writers....come up with some "creative" for the event thats 8 months away

It is a strange thing to complain about when you consider how garbage most of the B PPVs have been in the Network era.
yeah they're all pretty shytty so when i saw Braun and Brock, I immediately re-upped my subscription no lie

i was gonna let it dwindle away till Survivor Series. They must know thats what people do and trying to switch up the formula

I think the save for big 4 comes from how sudden and wacky the injury bug/I hate the WWE so I'm leaving stuff can get

Leaves us with cards that were barely held together like mania 32

The attitude era is getting close to being depleted as far as guys you can bring back so it makes you kinda feel like "damn, we should've kept THIS match in the chamber"

You are right tho. They've gotta strike while the iron is hot nowadays since they can't book consistently to save their lives.

WWE never burned big time WM matches on weak ass b level PPVs in the attitude era. The big matches actually had build. This shyt is rushed as fukk smh.

Imagine Austin vs Taker being burned at fully loaded instead of Summerslam.

Or Rock vs Austin at No Way Out instead of WM15

I get both sides of the argument. Some matches should only happen at Mania, while at the same time it's good to run big matches at B level shows to help them feel important and put interest in otherwise dull or uninspired seasons. With both Cena/Reigns and Brock/Braun I think it comes down to they know both Cena and Brock are on limited availability or gone in the future, so might as well run these while you can, and with Braun you wanna keep the momentum from SSlam going (even though they kept him off RAW :francis:) plus if the long goal is still Brock/Reigns they're not really blowing matches now they never intended to run to begin with

We aren't in the Attitude Era, they can't afford to give away big matches on B show PPVs.
They can, there is no competition and no matter what they do,arenas will always be sold out or close to sold out
And Wrestlemania is a event that sells itself,no reason to save everything for there

Alot of the older fans who grew up with WWE in the late 80's up to the early 90's only had the major 4 PPV, until they added KOTR, so they're more attached to having Blockbuster Main Events at those PPV's.

Now with the Big 4, you knew the layout of the build, for the next 6-12 months. The Rumble was about winning the main event title match, WM was the title match and knowing who was going to be champ for the majority of the year. SummerJam was the Summer event that either ended or started new feuds, till Survivor Series, where the Champ would drop the strap and then the build for WM would begin.

My preference is to have the major blow off matches at the Big PPV's.

Fully Loaded 99 had Austin vs Taker in a first blood match :dahell:

No Way Out 03 had Rock vs Hogan :dahell:
