The only issues I have with EV's are sound, weight, and an incomplete infrastructure. The latter two will be improved immensely over the next 5-7 years.

Other than that, hook me up with a Lucid AIr Sapphire ASAP. 1200hp, 0-60 in less than 2 seconds, quarter mile in less than 9 seconds, quicker than a Bugatti Chiron.

If you like Electrical Vehicles, cool no problem. But to use the "Electrical Vehicles are better for the environment" is downright hilarious :mjlol: :mjlol: :mjlol:

Lithium batteries are an important component of Electrical Vehicles

Environmental Impacts of Lithium-Ion Batteries

"Lithium mining in Andean countries is carried out using saline water. Even though it is not suitable for drinking, the absence of saline water can significantly impact water and environmental resources.

One ton of lithium requires a staggering 2.2 million gallons of water. More than half of the water in Chile's Salar de Atacama has been used by mining activities in the region, significantly impacting local farmers.

. The explosion of gases generated by electrolyte leakage causes a substantial share of LIB safety issues, whereas minor damage to battery packs is often impossible to detect.

LIB electrolytes are mostly made up of difficult-to-detect volatile and redox neutral solvents such as methyl ethyl carbonate (EMC), vinyl carbonate, or dimethyl carbonate (DMC). "

The amount of media brainwashing alot of ya'll have is :pachaha:

Compared to the impact oil production and CO2 emissions have, yes, it is better on a per car basis. It will continue to improve as battery manufacturers and electric motor makers move to elements that are less expensive and easier to source and energy production moves away from coal.

It's a done deal. The move away from gasoline to EV and possibly hydrogen for new car production is guaranteed as we move closer to 2030. Anything reducing the CO2 and other noxious gasses produced by gas/diesel-powered motor vehicles is a plus.
