Considering how they used to get over 5 mil; compared to now, yea, they’re low. But I thought you didn’t care about ratings? :pachaha:

It’s relative lol. The NBA’s current ratings are all time lows in comparison to their highs (Jordan era) they’re literally coming off their least watched season currently

The NFL ratings have been hitting all time lows for years, and are STILL declining

Pro wrestling is no different...

All of this is public information and can be googled lol.. With that’s said, Football, basketball and Pro Wrestling are still among the most consistently watched things on tv and are highly valued. They wouldn’t continuously receive these insanely lucrative tv deals if they weren’t.

In general most of the people who got into it were athletes for one reason or another got injured in their sport, didn’t go pro in their sport, or had retired from their sport from there it grew. A lot of the Wrestlers from the golden era’s their families ran local promotions like Macho Man Randy Savage (Rest In Peace) also having schools. Some were running both at the same time from there the inspiration came to fans who grew up and started their own promotions. Worldwide but I don’t know if I’m wrong but I think WWII and how America decimated Japan plays a lot into a lot of things and one is wrestling many things in Japan is lowkey subconsciously to slurp white men specifically American men so they think mad shyt in Japan is cool like no matter what it is the Japanese version is cooler to them. Because of WWII Japanese porn is blurred but it’s so cool to these White guys. Bukkake is in vernacular. So these white guys for decades jerked themselves off Japan leading to literally AEW. DIfferent regions have different wrestlings like Mexicans got more than Lucha. Also more women are involved through history same as men but also you gotta include modeling. Some of these women are sexy. Yes you probably thinking there are some big ugly hoes wrestling including a trans but that’s a throw bike to carnival oddities like bearded ladies. Add that a lot of Wrestlers are libertarians or Republicans they believe from these connection points they are building their own way and the true successes like The Rock and Abe Lincoln who really crossed over inspire them even more because one day instead of wrestling half naked I could be in movies more clothed or even President. Also Wrestling is a rabbit hole that I don’t want to go into about two weeks ago a majority was very cool and literally bigging up a guy who had an entire lifestyle not just gimmick on men, women, and trans touching his dikk and were let me reiterate very very cool with it. Literally shaming people against it.

But WCW WAS a large company. :what:

What are you even arguing about? Your posts make no sense. :dahell:

I'm arguing that AEW despite having large pockets to finance it might not last similar to WCW. If it loses money it will go under. WWE has been around a long time through good and bad while others have gone under. AEW is in the same situation that WCW was in. Bringing in old names for cheap pops and giving the fans everything in one show with nothing to look forward too. And on another note, they're not a large company until they make big profits and that hasn't happened yet. Right now AEW is all hype.

The fact is you’re making up discussions as you go. First it’s not AEW is a big company, now it’s finances. :dahell:

The average wrestler is making peanuts & lifestyle situation resembles that of a truck driver.

A lot of these wrestlers are not provided with medical or dental coverage either.

Most don't even own their name.

Okay so what makes them a big company then. What have they accomplished that makes you think they are? A big company makes money. They don't they just have a big financial backer but haven't sowed any profit and I have yet to see a wrestling boom period since they started.

to me the health reasons and politics is why wrestling would never be an option. you have to trust someone else to not hurt you, and trust someone else to not bury you. :hhh:

Not to shyt on the E but if I wanted to be a wrestler in this current climate, I'd feel more safe in AEW on a lower salary.

  1. More independence to develop your character. (I could gimmick as a wrestler in a n95 mask and Khan wouldn't gaf.)
  2. Less people at 1 location.
  3. No crazy long term contracts.
  4. The ability to work side gigs i.e., NJPW without repercussions if I need more money.

It's fun. Life's too short to worry about the consequences
