Uh the media actually tried to cover up the Monica Lewinsky story. Newsweek reporters had the scoop but the magazine wouldn't let them publish it. So one of the reporters forwarded the story to Drudge Report who was the one who made it public.

As for jokes, isn't Obama pretty much the first American president that late night comedians refuse to tell jokes about? Like I said in another thread, Obama is the most protected and coddled president in history.

Who knows if this is even true or not, but even if it was Im sure it had everything to do with responsible reporting, and avoiding a potential libel situation given how explosive of an allegation it was. Breaking that story would be a dream come true to any reporter --- get off of your republican victimization syndrome.

5 years later not only did the troops not come home we got MORE troops there but I hardly see any coverage, instead we get day long specials about him and Michelle sharing a tender moment.
