That's old school booking. Go watch any of Hulk Hogan's feuds during his 80's WWF run. The heel challenger would always beat up Hogan until their big match, which Hogan would win.
It's the same formula that they use in the Rocky movies.

I didn't like her losing at CATC, but i'm fine with heel Bayley getting over on Bianca. My issue is that HHH seems focused on making Bianca seem vulnerable, while Vince was smart to play up her ridiculous strength.
