I couldn't stand the Pistons but Zeke seemed like a real dude to me The stars back then seemed like a frat and Zeke could never join. The Celts, Lakers, Bulls, and the like were the 'sexy' teams with the players everybody loved and Zeke and the Pistons were were the Bad Boys and got in the way of the darlings of the league back then. But if they decided Bird was going to be a ceremonial pick why wouldn't Isiah be as well unless too many people didn't fukk with him.

Stockton was nice but Isiah was a defining player of that era and had rings. He deserved to be on that team.

And stats are just numbers without context. Stockton was allowed to dominate the ball in Utah, and Isiah was scaling back his scoring mindset in order to contribute more to the team concept and get the Pistons that Jewelry. Not a fair comparison if you're just going to flip their trading cards and go off that

Wow. After watching that I realize now why Scottie was extra pissed and sat out the game when Phil drew up the last shot for Kukoc. The Bulls wouldn't pay Scottie because of Toni, MJ was gone and after Scottie roasted dude in the Olympics Phil still chose him over Pip when he was the leader.
