:shaq2: Watching TV is groundbreaking?
Watching TV and changing the channels with your voice is something that hasn't been done before?? Sure it's new for consoles
the whole point...whether you care or not... its not the fact that its watching tv, its the fact that its complete convergence and it eliminates the need to operate your tv outside of the OS and one channel.

There's no denying that the X1 has had the better games and features thus far.

Its great if you enjoy your PS4, but you can't downplay what other systems have on offer in order to justify your enjoyment.

If your the type to only buy one console, then I could understand you buying a ps4 for future content or because you didn't like what happened forwards the end of 360 life, or because you didn't get to play Sony exclusives last gen.

But if you are the type to own multiple hardware, there's is no way in hell you can justify a PS4 purchase over X1 this holiday season.

There's no denying this post is subjective opinion, coming from one of the most biased cats on this site.

The point is that because of those devices and people using them, there's no need to have a console that "does it all" as well.

Now if MS had made the Xbox compareable in power to the PS4, stop being a dudebro machine, didn't come out with that online DRM and no used games nonsense, and was 400 bucks it'd be different. But even if that happened, it STILL WAS NOT GOING TO OUTSELL THE PLAYSTATION 4.

You gotta remember that Sony also owns Columbia/Sony Pictures and has Sony music. They wanted to push more people to rent/buy movies from the PS Store and get music unlimited. Inputting DLNA and music support hampers that. While I do think it's bullshyt, I'm not tripping since I got a smart TV that does this without the need of the console. and I'm not alone in this.

Bottomline is most want their consoles to be a GAMING MACHINE FIRST AND FOREMOST. And people spoke with their wallets.
you keep making these statements about what most people want and care about, how do you know this? how can i debate points youre just making up?

No. Once again my "opinion" is backed up by any objective measure you can think of.

X1 does more on the OS side=Fact
XBL is more stable/reliable than PSN=Fact
X1 has more and better rated exclusives= Fact
X1 is cheaper=Fact

It is what it is :manny:

So the Xbox One being a glorified remote controller for your TV is supposed to be ground breaking?

It's cool to enjoy your ps4, but you don't have to go out of your way downplay things on offer by other consoles:smh:
How else you want me to word it?? He says the Xbox One brings convergence to your living room. I looked up the information pertaining to that as a refresher and it basically boils down to it being a remote controller..
An infrared blaster (or IR blaster) is a device that emulates an infrared remote control to autonomously control a device that is normally controlled only by remote control key presses. The most common use of an IR blaster is to allow a recording device such as a DVR or VCR to change the channel on an external tuner such as a cable box or satellite receiver.
It can be convenient for those who like this but it is what it is and it's basically a remote controller. A samsung galaxy phone being an IR blaster would be called a remote controller as well. You can't be mad at what the technology is used for. I think some of you guys are overselling such a simple feature that's been around before.

Nah its much more than that, first off no remote turns on/off your entire entertainment system with just your voice. Secondly that's only the tip of the iceburg as far as the TV integration goes.

Stick to praising the PS4, no need in trying to downplay what the X1 does. If PS4 was so much better you wouldn't need to do this:manny:

But y'all want to engage in a discussion and now when someone who's knowledgeable presents counter arguments you tell them to stick to something else.
