I like rivers but the excuses on why he can't win anything has been going on for way too long now, this season he had a excuse but when he had a top 5-10 defense and a top 3 offense then there shouldn't be any excuses.

This is just a terrible thread. If big Ben didn't make that tackle vs the colts in 2006 Or if vanderjact didn't kick the ball wide right in that game then Big Ben wouldn't have made it to the super bowl. If Holmes didn't make that crazy catch vs the cards then he doesn't win a SB.

If tyree didn't make that helmet catch or Mario mannigham didn't make that sideline catch vs the pats then Eli wouldn't have a ring. Hell, if Kyle Williams didn't fumble then it would've been the 9ers in the SB instead.

Winning a SB is hard and you need a break and luck sometimes. Rivers just never had the ball bounce his way like others :yeshrug:

:dead: Flacco elevated his game for one playoff run. Outside of that he was pedestrian to shytty throughout his playoff career and was carried by his defense and running game. Since those things have fallen off he went from in the playoffs every year and a SB to missing the playoffs 2 out of 3 years and making the mind-boggling pick in the playoffs last year.
