Only time I can think of Philip losing when he had the 1 seed was against the Pats in 07. The torn ACL game earned him some respect too. Other than that he overachieved in the playoffs when he got there. Unless I'm missing another year when they lost a home playoff game

My dude Rivers has played his whole career with a gump choking ass coach and a soft franchise RB. If he had the coaching and defense these other qbs have had he would have a ring or 2.

I'll never forget the visual of LT sitting out with that helmet on while Rivers out there with ripped knee, these Charger teams have always been injury prone and poorly coached

Rivers isn't a bad QB he's just been playing for a shytty organization his entire career. He led the NFL in completion % this year, threw for over 4k yards and this was without his starting WRs even tho Keenan Allen emerged as a big threat. No one really gives a fukk about the Chargers unless you're from here and even then this city is split with Raiders fans. He's at least top 10 QBs right now

jamaal Williams went to a few pro bowls
weddle is a top 5 safety
prime merriman
spikes pre
Phillips who was guaranteed to have 10-15 sacks during their run
cromartie and jammer was a top 3 corner tandem at one time.

offense:

not to mention 2 bona fide hof'ers on offense, the best running back of the last 10-15 years, another backup who won a super bowl on another team and is still productive, another running back who had a great career with the falcons, and a top 10 reciever in Jackson, and a very good offensive line


I like rivers but the excuses on why he can't win anything has been going on for way too long now, this season he had a excuse but when he had a top 5-10 defense and a top 3 offense then there shouldn't be any excuses.
