Because he was a grown ass man in the early 2000's. You have to understand, there was zero high end black fashion clothing lines at this time. String dressed like the old school players and hustlers. His outfits cost more then some of those were making in a month. He was probably rocking Gucci belts without bragging or advertising it. And you can see that D was on his road to dressing the same in a few years. They were both men of fashion, not just street wear.
