I have not read the article and I cannot discern Talib Kweli's true intent but based on this post

change the y to an i in shyt.

1. Talib makes a tweet about how spike lee, shaun king aren't our enemies and we need to worry about the real enemy
2. Black lady claims that he doesn't speak for all black people and shaun king and spike lee are black women's enemy because they are misogynistic
3. Talib asks for proof of the claims
4. Multiple people say educate yourself
5. Repeat 3&4

and from reading the tweets littered in this thread, if I understand the context correctly, I would say that Talib has every right to ask for proof and the BW (including the multiple other people) should have presented it since what Talib was asking for was nothing abstract (proof of their misogyny). Correct me if I'm wrong.

All the successful black men I know have black wives and vice versa. I can only think of 4 couples that are dating interacially. It honestly breaks my heart to see this. How can black people be arguing amongst each other over who is the most victimised? Both black men and women are subjugated under the same racist system; it might manifest in different ways but still has the same end results.
