Identity is a complex question and one's ethnicity and or gender isn't necessarily the first element people identify with.
White women voted for Trump more than Hilary in 2016 because they were more conservative (and/or Republican) than were women. Similarly, some brehs are more conservative than Black, that is all really.

...and with how horrendous Trump and rethugs have been, Dems would have to have completely faceplanted to have loss a meaningful amount of black support.
