They don't understand history.
You don't need some politician to help you feel 'tough' or 'conservative'. If it's about gays or trans people? They don't have 'don't vote' campaigns and we are long long past them not being able to get married. Plus hormone treatments are big money. They are hip deep in political strength and finances. You can vote either way at this point on that issue and it won't change shyt on that note.
If you are a minoroty and vote Republican just know fascism isn't your friend. That 'this politician is tough' and 'I have conservative views' might have flown 20 or 30 years ago. But you are dealing with radicals now. Radicals who stormed the capitol and are still being egged on to do more by basketcase politicians who still shout about blm riots like they weren't running a banana republic coup.
How any minority can look at these folks and think 'they are worth empowering for me as a person' is a sign of mental illness.
I have conservative views as well as liberal ones. I feel tough and comfortable in my masculinity. Listen here. F*ck those fascist Republicans.
They very obviously view minorities as a threat. If you are useful to them? You are still a threat.
