Is it me, or is Roy Jones hard to play with in Fight Night Champion?

Maybe my defense isn't up to par, but he's tough to handle because of his unorthodox style.

Now me with Jack Johnson in that game? :whoo: See me.

This board turned and hated on him BIG TIME when he started losing. Made it seem like he wasn't untouchable and wasn't even on the same level of Mayweather. In his prime, Roy Jones was unstoppable. You'll never see combos and counter punches like that in boxing again. Once in a lifetime talent and ability.

roy was very physically gifted in his prime....alot more than mayweather was in his..as said before it wasn't age that did him in it was the very bad decision to go back to light heavyweight after winning the heavyweight title...that was the beginning of the end....you can't take off 25 lbs of muscle like that in the short amount of time without fukking up your body in some way..he slowed and combined with his lack of fundamentals..recipe for disaster

It was age...had his body been younger, the weight gains/losses wouldn't have affected a genetic wonder like that so quickly. It would of been smarter to have fight him a year later or something to get back to his true form but it went the way it did.

Above all of that though, there will never be a guy who can do what he did. Sugar Ray Robinson was about the only other pound 4 pound guy in history that was anything close to that special in the boxing game.

Dude gets plenty of love and respect from actual boxing fans. nikkas who just started fukking with boxing are the ones that clown him cuz of the losses and the fact that they don't know any better. Plus most of those same dudes think he was all flash an no substance. Roy had good technical skills it's just that he was unconventional with it. He threw hooks like boxers would throw jabs. You can't blame him for making that work.

Roy was on top for damn near 10 years and was prolly the fighter of the 90's decade. (Holyfied and Sweet Pea might argue)

There's prolly only a handful of boxers that might have a better highlight reel than Roy Jones if nikkas were to make one out of their best career moments.
