What people fail to realize is that greatness cannot be 100% quantifiable.
Although stats are crucial, they can't provide context, can't measure intangibles, can't illuminate leadership, and can't capture killer instinct.
Those who've seen both players in their primes understand that Jordan will always trump James.
James will likely retire with better individual stats than Jordan's. But who has more rings? who was the better leader? who was the smarter player? who had that killer instinct and who is still looking for his?
Although I'm not a Bron stan, I respect his greatness and I appreciate what he brings to a team. But people have been making this comparison since before he was even finished with high school. And it's clear he's fallen short of Jordan. Not to diminish Bron's legacy but he should focus on being the best HIM that he can be and stop chasing stats/rings just to try to match Jordan's 6. He needs to understand that even if he can't be MJ, he'll still be a legendary player. Because even if Bron were to get those 6 (or more) rings, it won't compare to how Jordan earned his 6. Jordan won 3 straight and then retired. When he came back, he won another 3 straight. And I can go on and on as to why whatever LeBron does will never be like what Mike did.
