These hot takes are corny as fukk. Since when does being eliminated from the playoffs eliminate you from MVP contention. If that's the case, Bron should have 2 of his taken away

It's not about being eliminated in the playoffs.

Harden lost by 40 in an elimination game by a team starting Mills-Green-Simmons-Aldridge-Gasol, and looked awful.

If you're really the most valuable player in the NBA, then how do you do that bad against THAT roster???

Westbrook went down after only winning ONE playoff game against the Rockets that just did THAT shyt, and cost his team multiple wins with horrific fourth-quarter play.

Again, if you're the real MVP, then why can't you even overcome Harden the fraud and a Rockets team that wasn't shyt?

And Kawhi, of course, didn't even need to be on the floor for the Spurs to win the last 2 games. And Spurs were 6-1 without him in the regular season this year (beat three playoff teams).

How are you MVP if your team plays nearly as well when you aren't even on the floor?

It's like people forgot what the hell "most valuable" even means anymore. It means you are the MOST VALUABLE player. Not that you put up the most stats or happen to be on the team with the most wins. It's that your presence matters more than anyone else in the NBA.

And yeah, Lebron lost sometimes. But ONLY to championship teams or in close, hard-fought series with the East champs. No scrub teams like the Mills-Green-Simmons-Aldridge-Gasol Spurs or Harden's fukking Rockets have taken out a Lebron team in his entire career, or even come close. Even in his non-MVP seasons, even when he was playing with scrubs himself.

You know why? Because Lebron is too valuable a player to lose to teams with rosters full of bullshyt.

LeBron should be MVP every year but that's the case for guys like Tom Brady, etc.

You don't get votes for coasting or treating regular season like it's not shyt. :yeshrug: He would've been MVP otherwise.

Ain't nothing, really. Lebron already took his seat at the table with the Big Bosses of NBA history years ago. Everyone else with the exception of perhaps Peak Shaq is denied entry.

6x - Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
5x - Michael Jordan, Bill Russell
4x - Lebron James, Wilt Chamberlain
3x - Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Moses Malone
