LeBron is more capable of going ape shyt than Melo and has done so more times with more 30, 40, 50 point games and a higher career scoring average in both the regular season and playoffs on vastly better efficiency and an equal amount of scoring titles, higher career high night and more 30 point per game seasons (Melo has none)

Melo has a reputation as a “pure scorer” while LeBron is considered “pass first” but LeBron has always scored more than Melo

Man please, anything out of the ordinary movements and Brons feet go haywire. Stumbling, fumbling, bumbling. Scoring I give Mike the slight edge over KD. But they are definitely 1 and 2 to me.

I'm sorry the metrics point to KD being the better scorer but Lebron has put the team on his back a million times offensively especially in the playoffs. We all know what Lebron is going to do and he still couldn't be stopped. Yea Kd game might be more fluid but he don't put the fear of god in me like Lebron. Who was stopping prime Lebron from doing what he wanted to do in the post season. (excluding that fluke 2011)

It's not a Bronsexual debate, you nikkas lose your bias for a second you realize a KD vs LeBron as a scorer topic is actually a really relevant and intellectual talking point...

I know KD has a wetter jumper and unlimited range. Offensively no real weaknesses. Besides having a wetter jumper and unlimited range, their scoring prowess is close...

I'd give KD the edge because of that, but not by much. Historically, despite not having KD range (really, name the ONE guy in NBA history with KD range lmao)...despite the range and pure jumper, LeBron gets to his spots whenever he wants, can play outta the post (this idea he has "zero" post game is unfounded), can pull up, has a midrange, is an outstanding finisher, etc....

I'll repeat: KD is a better scorer because the pure jumper and the stronger array of moves counts for something...

But this idea that "it's not close" is unfounded, which is particularly telling considering a)LeBron is the only legendary scorer ever who wasn't score-first, and b)LeBron is .2 ticks higher in career scoring average versus KD, and only .1 behind him in career playoff average...

LeBron has averaged 30 in the playoffs 6 times compared to twice for KD, but somehow iys not close?

1 player played and had to share the ball with Russell Westbrook and Steph Curry (two players that have averaged 30)

The other only played and had to share the ball with a prime wide for 3 years

1 player has shooting splits of 49/38/88

The other has shooting splits of 50/34/74

1 player has a TS% of 61%

This is that same skill set & optics Vs numbers argument, as is always the case w/ LeBron vs anyone in terms scoring, whether it’s KD or Kobe. It looks better and KD has the skillset, but in actuality, LeBron just scores more somehow, despite KDs better shooting, etc, while averaging more assists as well....
