In the terms of us regular folk out here in the real world, Keri was too cool, just a regular chick who liked to do regular shyt with the rest of us regular pions. In the terms of being a star in the Hollywood world, Keri lowered her value too much. Back in the day you might see her at a random house party or even know someone who got at her. I know a breh who claimed he smashed and I was like yeah whatever. Then I heard the same thing from a few other places over the years. She wasnt out there slumming with dope boys like Chili, but she was on the scene in that AUC/Peters St crowd back then. If you trying to blow and take it to that next level you can't do stuff like that. Personally I applaud it, it just shows that she's a down to earth chick.

The bolded is especially true. Although, I would say that Rihanna popped despite the selfish climate created by Bey & team. Dame was one of the few that was rooting for her while Jay was focused on Tierra Marie. And Rihanna does collaborate with other artists...as Sza was on the last album.

Bey always came off as a mean girl since Destiny's Child (check the earlier footage). Her perfect, mechanical demeanor really, only came about to hide that characteristic (among others).

Usher kicked Keri off that song because he wanted Beyoncé. And she is terrible live.
Keri is corny and thinks she's better than she actually is. She's an a$$hole to her fans and when she first came out she insulted Beyoncé which is stupid. They would have had the same fans but she alienated them. Keri's nasty attitude is well known. Her writing is overstated, most of it comes from the writing team.
Honestly she could have been great because pretty girl rock is a great song but she let Polow gas her up.

Yeah Hit-Boy use to ghost produce for Polow. Once people found out, they just went straight to him instead of dealing with Polow, and his career kinda died down. Even on that Lil Wayne "John" record, Polow is credited with production, but it was actually produced by Ayo

That John record is the music industry in a nutshell. Literally 5 different nikkas tried to lay claim to that beat. There was Polow, there was Yung Berg, some other random manager or some shyt, Rob Holladay, Ayo, etc.

This is one of my biggest issues with black female music industry over the last decade is the seemingly lack of collaborations. When you don't collaborate is when you have situations like now where there was that one stretch last year I believe where there wasn't a single black woman on the hot 100 for weeks. Or how there really hasn't been a new black female superstar/star in 7 years (Nicki in 2010) and Nicki's about to be 35, Beyonce's about to be 36 and Rihanna is damn near 30. Where are the young black female 19-24 olds? The music industry is typically a young person's game. Imo opinion Tink should be waayyy bigger than what she is. Did ya'll know she has a song with over 120 million views on youtube? This song wasn't a single, played on radio, promoted or nothing. The song randomly went viral on facebook/ig in 2015 like 2 years after it originally came out. That tells me she definitely has the talent there and is an audience, why she isn't "there" yet is anyone's guess.
