Why isn't Big K.R.I.T. mentioned with Kendrick, Cole, and Drake of this era?

if having a hit solidifies you as an artist, then you just a casual ass fan who opinion on hip hop is invalidated.
the lamestream media won’t feel KRIT music because he’s not rhyming about bullshyt and he actually has substance in his music. it has nothing to do with where he’s from.
and plus he found his lane and that’s alright.

:yeshrug:I know it sounds messed up but I think it’s because. He rolled with his country/southern roots too hard(pause). Bruh is simply too damn country for the masses lol. That shyt isn’t marketable today or when he was popping. His mixtape catalog is dope tho and he’s a better producer than Cole. He also held his own with his peers. But having no marketability combined with def jam fukking him over. You can see why he isn’t mentioned anymore. The best thing for him to do is to go the Gibbs and Spitta route. And just drop dope music for his core base.
