Why is Vindictiveness and revenge looked down upon?

But they were painted to be disruptive, unreasonable and antagonistic. Just like most people who seek revenge are labeled those things. But it seems like it all depends on who you're talking to

Some people thought the responses to their actions were 'reasonable'.​

A lot of people would rather wait for an imaginary man in the sky to punish the person that disrespected them rather than put in the work themselves.

I don't expect people like this to understand vengeance. When I hear someone say that getting payback on someone isn't worth it or it accomplishes nothing I can't relate to them at all. In this world there's certain people that people can get away with easily disrespecting without worrying about much push back.

Everybody respects a carefully executed revenge scheme, but more often than not you hear revenge and think about some random nikka moment.
