There’s literally a new genre of R&B dedicated to warmth and ambience. You guys have to stop listening to payola. They are pushing an anti black agenda. Go to Spotify and Apple Music and search for new R&B love songs. Make a freakin playlist and then ‘like’ artists you enjoy and look for more like them. Seriously stop getting your stream suggestions from the Coli and WorldStar. So many great artists are out now and they aren’t getting any play because they aren’t doing the minstrel show.

The problem is that many folks who have been listening to R&B for decades(Like Myself), are UNIMPRESSED by the songs and "Singers".

This includes many of the "Non Mainstream""Singers".

Many of these newer "Singers" can't sing, they can only "Carry a Tune".

And some of the newer "Singers" who can sing, only "Trap Sing", or Sing trash lines like...

"You're not like these other Nikkas",

The BAR is Low!

Any "R&B" song, where the singer is saying "Nikka" in it, is INSTANTLY Disqualified.

Damn near every new song, someone is "Trap Singing".

No real Melodies, No Real Harmonies, Autotune galore, TRASH Lyrics and subject matters.

Once again the Bar is Low.

It's like tying to explain to someone who has only drank Tap Water their entire life,
That REAL WATER isn't supposed to taste like that.

Literally googled 'black love songs 2023' and got a great rundown of recent vibing songs. Like nice tunes.

I just don't get these kinds of discussions. :mjlol: And I grew up in the 80s and 90s.

Gen X women taught Millennial/Zoomers women to not trust or value the men.

Men were partially taught the same but our biological wiring and inconsistency in the traditional/progressiveness narrative keeps our antagonist levels in check.

I think he's more referring to the mainstream. Obviously we know it's not true in the literal sense.

Cornfields, cows, & an one stoplight town
This has been shared a thousand times but it seems there is a small segment of the culture that seems to think they’re “different” or “not like them”

Well homegirl, I’m here to tell you (or better yet, let them tell you)

a whole lot of playing victim and the villain at the same time :francis:

But here are some R&B love songs.

Thank you. Google is y'alls friend. When you Google 2023 Love/Wedding R&B, there's literally a playlist already made for you of 100 songs. And that's just the FIRST find on the list in the search.
