Why is the film room so dead?

You guys only advertising white people movies, feminists media, and dysfunctional black people media. Not saying those media are bad quality, but if I wanted to discuss feminist media I'd go to Lsa, if i wanted to discuss white people stuff I'd go to reddit. I found out about black youtube from youtube and not here

That has nothing to do with why this sub-forum isn't more popular.

Comic book movie threads make up a very, very small percentage of the over all threads/posts here.

To put it into perspective, "Infinity War" had around 15,000 posts. And that's with 10+ years leading up to it.

"Game Of Thrones" was doing 15-19k per season.

I mean....the horror movie thread alone has 20k posts.

Comic book movie threads could be 100% banned and it would barely be a blip (no pun intended) on TFR's radar, over all.

Some of the posters who heavily contributed to this sub either tapered off or got banned due to related matters.

I wouldn’t mind it being more active here but the thought has me hesitant at the same time. I look over at TLR’s discussions on film/shows and it’s a night and day difference with all of the low quality posting that takes place over there.

Movies are still kind of dead. Liast 2 flicks I enjoyed but not really worth of me getting into discussions over (Dune and The Eternals)

I've been watching a ton of Joe Bob Briggs last drive-in movies, but for the most part they're old B-movie horror flicks oldheads grew up with

Also a small but very loud vocal contingent whined and complained cuz they couldn’t handle the “Stan Wars”

Like people was really disturbing them in they “CINEMA” threads watching trash movies like the West Side Story” reboot or “335”

They clipped the wings of the Rec Room, it was all in good fun (for most people atleast, the bad apples got Snapped out of existence via the Infinity Gauntlet)

im glad the arcadium doesn't have these problems

The anime thread was started in 2012, before The Film Room even existed. Of course it has more replies than a "GOT" thread started in 2017.

Not to mention that thread is #1 anime as an entire genre vs one season of one TV series and #2 not related to comic movies.

I already got my "No Way Home" ticket but I'm 100%, point blank telling you at no point did comic movies ever drive traffic to TFR. I got no reason to lie.

The split happened for good reasons. Arcadium is still the same posters that been around since SOHH arguing over consoles.

Literally every thread would turn into Sony vs MS. I play video games too but ain't nobody trying to wade through all that nonsense in a TV or movie thread.

Not to mention comparing The Film Room to The Locker Room is sheer comedy. The Locker Room is the main reason registration stays closed. I'm sure you all can figure out why.
