The death of Superman was great. The voice acting was weak but I'm looking forward to part 2 next year. Best one they made since they did the New 52.

DC's animated stuff has pretty much always been better then Marvels. You can thank guys like Timm, Dini, McDuffie for that...

Marvel needs folks like that, who are willing to boost marvel animation.

Also by the time Marvel's animated stuff started getting good.. the series would get cancelled/end..or do a total direction change like EMH

X-Men Evolution
Wolverine and the X-Men

were good too. Evolution took awhile tho...

But yeah EMH was amazing. Had that intro that sounds corny as fukk, but then you catch yourself eventually singing that shyt :wow:

Marvel had that with dudes who worked on "X-Men Evolution", "Wolverine and the X-Men", "Avengers: EMH", & the direct-to-DVD animated films. But like @MartyMcFly, once Jeph Loeb was hired as head of Marvel Television, him & Joey Q bushed them because they only wanted marvel animation that was strictly for kids.

Stop blaming Loeb. He has a boss and someone he answers to. It’s Quesada who gives the marching orders and it’s his vision they’re carrying out

OP it depends on what you’re talking about. If we’re talking animated movies, dc has a better brain trust there and also marvel hasn’t released shyt.

If we’re talking animated series’ tho, dc has a different edict than marvel does at the moment. Joey Q has said straight up they’re making shows for kids. Point blank. They’re not trying to layer in things for adults or make them interesting watches for teens or pre teens or young adults; he wants the kid demo and that’s it. So from a quality standpoint purely based on that level, DC will get the nod historically.

Of course they have things like justice league action and teen titans go but they’ve also got young justice with doom patrol and swamp thing on the horizon. So right now they’re willing to serve different demographics. Hopefully, eventually, marvel will do the same.

The short answer is, Bruce Timm.

Did DC Animation do that with the 2000's "Teen Titans" series? I'm asking because I'm considering trying the 2000's "Teen Titans" series again. I tried to get into the show back in 2015 & quit after 1 or 2 episodes. This time I took the time to actually read the critical reception of the show on Wikipedia & lt looks like 2000's "Teen Titans" was a show that started off slow early in the 1st season & got better as the season and series went on. Do you agree with that?

It got better. It’s layered. The more comfortable they got with the show after season 1, the more they let loose

2000's "Teen Titans" or "Young Justice", what's the better show? I can definitely say YJ's series premiere absolutely shyts on 2000's TT's series premiere.

Iron Man armored adventures was pretty damn good too. The better iron Man show for sure unless you really like force works for some reason

I think the problem is that Disney Animation Studio only work on featured films/shorts while WB Animation Group works on TV & Movies. They recently turned the Super Hero Girls web series into a full one on Cartoon Network. YJ Outsiders & Harley Quinn after that then probably some more movies including Reign Of The Superman. They're averaging around 4 original animated movies per year tho

YJ by far

:ehh: I just looked it up. The same dudes who worked on those other 2000's-early 2010's Marvel animated I mentioned also did "Iron Man: Armored Adventures" too.

:yeshrug: I don't care for 3D CGI animation, so I never bothered with that show though.

:lupe: I'm 10 episodes into season 1 of "Teen Titans". & I finally watched "Teen Titans: The Judas Contact" movie last night. Does the "Teen Titans" series ever get as good as that movie?

That joint was so good compared to the first 10 episodes of TT, I gotta rewatch "Justice League vs. Teen Titans" later tonight because I don't remember what that movie was about. 1 thing I'll give these first 10 episodes of TT credit for is that it allowed me to enjoy TT: The Judas Contract" because I understood the team & character dynamics unlike when I watched "JL vs. TT" a couple years ago.

@MartyMcFly I'm currently on the last season of "Teen Titans". Is it safe to say Warner Bros. Animation puts out the best children's animated content out of all the studios? "Teen Titans" has me wanting to watch all the 2000's-2010's DC & Looney Tunes-related animated shows I've ignored over the years.

Also, I now understand what you mean by why you couldn't choose between "Young Justice" & "Teen Titans". It comes down to personal preference. If you prefer the darker & more mature, than YJ; If you prefer a lighter a tone, than TT. I think because folks grew-up on the DCAU/Timmverse, folks naturally much prefer YJ's darker mature tone.
