Why is Kobe considered a good 3pt shooter?

I saw one double team in this whole video and Kobe took a long 2. Driving into defenders isn't a double team. A defender hedging on a pick and roll is not a double team.

I saw 5 three point attempts in this video. Three were in single coverage, two were wide open. Why the fukk are you even posting this?
You can’t educate these Kobe Stans my bruh .. like many have said ... it’s a mental disease :picard:

How is this thread still going

I would not define Kobe as a great three-point shooter (reserved for Steph, Klay, Allen, Reggie, Korver etc.), he was good at best and hovered around average-below average for most of his career, even relative to the era he played in and how three-point shooting wasn't nearly as used in NBA offenses. His decision making wasn't always the best and while it's fair to say that it sort of betrays how talented he was, it's a more than fair criticism when talking about how good of a shooter he is.

You're an idiot bruh

You're too stupid to use context so I get it, it's all about percentages for you

I don't know how y'all boys survive in life when you struggle with such basic concepts :francis:

Lol come the fukk on. Most double/triple teams are triggered by the player. Ex: when player starts to drive/or catch ball at certain location another defender is needed. This is basic level shyt. Kobe is clearly being doubled and tripled in certain situations. Doc admitted himself, I need to find the interview. Like this isn’t even debateable. One of Kobe’sopen 3’s was the result of pierce tripping, and the other was a broken play. And yes Kobe got single coverage on 3’s. You typically don’t double up top, you do it when a players begins to drive or get to their spot. You act like you’ve never watched basketball.

:dead:

:37 he's being guarded one on one by Ray Allen, KG's there for help.

You're including Paul Pierce on a triple team while his defensive position is the corner three :dead:
There were two other Lakers around that play, and it was a skip pass anyways.

Yet Steph dribbling with three clippers in physical reaching distance of him isn't a triple team :mjlol:

Yeah, that was a collapsed triple, and he passed the ball out to the three point line.

Still not as impressive as this

CP3 is defending him. Matt Barnes comes in for the steal (misses), then Deandre and Lopez also try and contain him.
He dribbles around them all four of them and hits the 3 :blessed:
You don’t understand basketball. A player doesn’t have to be on you directly for it considered a double/triple team. Paul Pierce positioning, along with the actual game footage, indicated that pierce was gonna collapse on Kobe if he intended to drive. You probably didn’t watch the series but anytime Kobe would get to his spot a double or triple team was employed. Every time damn near. The shyt you posted with Steph is just a broken play. Simple shyt man.

right, but the problem is if someone like Bron had those percentages/and did the same tactics it would definitely be used against him, the double standard is why the slander against him always fails

Who here has ever mentioned Bron's 3 pt FG% as a reason why he's not the GOAT? :laff: Rings nikka, RINGS. He has less rings, plays in a weaker conference, needs the ball in his hands at all times, and plays with better all star squads. Jordan not teaming up with Barkley, Bird not teaming up with Magic, Willis not teaming up with West, Kobe not teaming up with Duncan, #wheredeydodatat THAT'S the knock on Bron, not some bullsh*t FG%. Bron is one of the most efficient wings volume wise all time, but he routinely passed the ball in the clutch in his prime, didn't have a mid range game until recently, isn't that great an on ball defender, and a whole host of other sh*t you can see IF YOU ACTUALLY WATCH THE GAME. And if Bron loses in the East after shipping off Kyrie, forget Kobe and Jordan, you need to be only comparing him to Bird and Worthy.
