You can go almost anywhere, not including war torn areas, except for like 3 countries, one being North Korea

Even if you need a visa it's basically an application and a fee, and sometimes you just pay when you arrive

You have no idea the freedom an American passport grants in terms of travel, even just on layovers

You need a special type of visa for Brazil for US citizens

They don't mind taking your money for university and handing you a visa but on r its up good luck staying

Yeah it takes $140, a plane ticket and a meeting that last 10 minutes

Brazil only does that because the U.S. does it to them anyway, and it's just a regular tourist visa, nothing to special about it. 180 days permitted per year and usually good for 10 years unless you have felonies or a rack of misdemeanors. Even the 180 day rule can be finessed if you work that jeitinho brasileiro correctly
