Promoted and celebrated are two different things.
I'd wager that it's celebrated in the UK because biracial people are treated better in the mainstream and white folks out here are much more comfortable around, hence they talk about interracial dating a lot.
However, on the flip side, the type of promotion interracial relationships get in the US whereby almost everything is about how black women need to date out with adverts and television programs about it, doesn't happen here. We don't have shows dedicated to white men picking a partner from a bevy of black women like y'all do. And the average black chic in the UK doesn't even find white men attractive and most of the black women who date out in the UK are continental Africans who moved to the UK recently and those who just arrived from the Caribbean. Only few British-born black women find white men attractive.

people just dont date others for the fun of it, alot of the times a connection is needed and the class system is one of them , plenty of low class blacks and whites live together in the same areas and have done for many years , alot of high class whites or rich are not dating out most of the time because of class and the backlash that comes with doing so , in some cases it happens.

I mean, if we’re going to talk about subjects like this, it’s more important to hear actual UK posters talk about it. So that means identifying yourself and your experiences. I don’t like the idea of someone comparing and asking and voicing their opinions when the only experience with the UK they’ve had are episodes of Luther and Peep Show.
I spent at least half of this year in the UK alone. The word “promote” isn’t the proper term for the situation. And I’m tired of comparing and people thinking the US had it “better” or a better understanding on race relations. But I’m tired of people thinking good things about America anyways

Don't get me wrong there are a handful of UK posters on here that will take every opportunity they get to try and prove UK nikkas are hard etc. but it just seems you always come at a stance of looking down on black people from other parts of the world, which I don't really get.
No ones denying that AA's influence black people around the world, thats pretty obvious to see. You just always seem really angry and defensive when it comes to black people in the UK, maybe it goes back to your mum being British.
