When you say the UK, you really mean London. London has the highest demographic of black people at 14%. We don't have the exact history of systematic racism that the US has. The British form of racism is quieter, more insidious. If certain historical reports can be believed there have been people of dark skin in Britain since Imperial times. :sas2:

What I will say is that there are a lot of guys who think dating a white woman or guy brings them status. Then there is the fact that a lot of guys aren't black British, so naturally they're from African or the islands and are probably attracted to something a lot different.

Then there is the fact that what, a black man is supposed to ONLY approach, at most, 14% of the attractive women in his dating range? Shyt's crazy. And I'm not even getting into flakes, attitudes, already in a relationship, single mom type stuff. If I were to go out to a bar tonight I could go up and approach ten girls(that I actually like) in 90 minutes. I cannot make the same claim if limited to black women(not including mixed for a representative sample).:francis:

Just stop with the demonizing breh. :francis:

You see it in positions of power, just high class kids becoming political leaders mostly. :francis:

How far off is a black PM for example. :skip:

I'm guessing the Black British community isn't as strong as a unit as AAs are in the USA. My cousin up there told me whites and blacks look at each other as more of a fetish attraction than anything.

Perhaps due to a lack of a history of oppression and more recent immigration.

Honestly, not impossible. Margaret Thatcher was a PM in a time where it was thought not likely, John Major(conservative) was a PM even though he came from the working class, and not only did he fail to attend Oxbridge, he didn't go to university at all. And on the other hand David Cameron is a not-so-distant cousin to the queen.

That Chuka Umunna guy appears to have favourable backing in the Labour Party Establishment but due to unreported scandals his time will wait. Although, he reeks of New Labour(basically like corporate democrat establishment), so when the time comes to vote the party members may choose another liberal/progressive. The conservatives don't care about race as much as electability it appears, but naturally giving a safe seat to a black man still carries some risk.

So I can conclude that it's very much a possibility for the right candidate. But the requirements are: Blairesque popularity with the newspapers, charisma and right party right time it looks like Labour is slightly in the lead but who knows.
