why is everyone in The Booth trapped in the early-to-mid 2000s?

Jeezy is from my gen.

Name these rappers giving wack shows

jeezy is pushin 40.

same with a lot of other rappers that you think are your gen.

We need a Throwback Sub-forum. I pitched the idea to cook but he shot it down.

We have The Lounge that nobody uses, why not rename it and let us post in peace?

that would pretty much move 95% of the quality posting to a sub-forum.

It’s usually a mix of 1996 (East vs West), 2001 (Nas vs Jay), and 2003 (50, rise of the south)

There’s a large NYC presence on this site dating back to the sohh days, and the early 2000s were the last years of true regionalized rap music, last years of KONY actually mattering, last days of NYC being the epicenter of rap. So, of course those posters discuss that era.

There's a large Northeast (always sweeped up in NYC) presence everywhere online because when message boards started popping Southerns were too busy trapping, farming, or inbreeding to waste time online all day

The amount of flabbiness in that forum is astounding. :gucci:

I imagine everyone in The Booth to be no younger than 25 years old.

Dude's mentalities are warped by perceptions and anaylsis that would have only been legitimate if it was 2003.

The lack of any discussion and excitement about new, YOUNG, hip-hop. And only talking about if it's ridiculously mainstream.

Everything viewed through the lens of an flabby person. You can feel the :flabbynsick: coming from their keyboard.

The same goddamn recycling threads about:

" Ai yo,I didn't know that Dr. Dre produced E-40's 1991 b-side remix to The Geto Boy's The Other Level :ohhh:"

or "Remember the beef between Camron and Stan Spit"

"Remember when Dipset and G-Unit ran NY?"

"The 2000's was the best era in hip-hop" (:mjlol:)

"I miss wearing baggy pants and xxxxxxl shirts :mjcry:"

Only caring about the same rotation of 15 rappers.... I could go on.

If I wanted to learn about the current musical climate I couldn't go to The Booth.
Post some music recommendations or stfu
