why is every wife/girlfriend/child/family member in The Rock's movies a cac?

Now that i think of it. That Rock appearance on that 70's show. He was clearly channeling his father.

Does this make sense for him? You inky explained why he could pass, not why it would make sense for him to do so.

There are several examples of successful Black actors with Black families in their movies. So why does it make sense for him to have cac families all the time?

I don't mean "it makes sense to have white families in his movies." I'm saying, it makes sense that he plays race neutral roles. It's not like he's going to play Marcus Garvey or Mansa Musa...his physical appearance makes it impossible.

He could have white female love interests with sex scenes and probably not get any backlash. Sistas have never called him out for that which suggests that he isn't really viewed as "black"....more like black-adjacent.

Like I said in my previous post. A lot of fathers (some mothers) only start thinking about their kids when they are old and need someone to take care of them. If the Rock isn’t close to his black side, chances are his dad wasn’t the father he should have been nor was the dad close with his own family.

And you can still be married to the mother of your child and be an absentee parent.:yeshrug:

Too many parents never learn because a lot of kids forgive them in adulthood for the sake of the grandchildren and wanting to build family connection.

In Dwayne's book, his grandfather (mommas dad Peter Maivia) didn't want Rocky Johnson marrying his daughter specifically because he was a wrestler and knew from personal experience how hard that life is on a family.

Dwayne already has one divorce and we don't really know why. All that traveling probably didn't help his first marriage. In the book, The Rock didn't trash his pops and kept it respectful but he was definitely closer to his mom and her family. It's possible Rock's dad wasn't close to his own family since he left home early.

The rock is a complete pandering buffoon. He hasn't made a quality movie yet and when he bulldozer his way on projects like GIJOE I get sickened. He wants to be the new will smith but he is a C/D level actor. He needs to balance his big budget films with some Indy joints or even some stage work to balance his line delivery and timing.

Horrible torrent or Netflix worthy trash. Can't name one movie I liked. People told me they liked faster. Never watched it though
I watched it once and it was trash. I never watched the Fast & Furious series and assumed it was part of the series for years. :heh:

Militant brehs think BM/WW is bad. They gotta realize that a big chunk of white supremacy is WM keeping their women on lock while tryna fukk everyone else's women. Just staying black only doesn't really change anything. Can't play defense only and expect to win

This is deep:wow:

He doesn’t really acknowledge his black side. He’s rarely seen with his pops like he is with his mom. You don’t know anything about his black side outside Rocky Johnson. Meanwhile He gets every Samoan family member a job whether it’s in wrestling or in movies. nikka never been alongside a melaninated women let alone a black women on screen. He dug up washed ass Neve Campbell to play his wife in his latest movie

What would you really want from him? He's just an actor not an activist:yeshrug:

Makes sense for him.

Most biracial people on TV are black/white (or sometimes black/East Asian). Even being mixed, actors like Shemar Moore, Boris Kodjoe, Tracy Ross etc., "look" black. They can't really pass for anything else.

Rock's got that black/Polynesian mix and most people wouldn't know what he was if they didn't already know his backstory.

Black/white mixes rarely look this ambiguous:

It helps that rock always kept his hair cut low and has since gone bald.

He made sure to keep that kinky, curly hair cut very low compared to his college football days.

Biracial actors like The Rock are put in a catch 22 position.

If they take “black roles” people get upset that a “real” black actor should’ve gotten the role.

Then if they take white/ambiguous roles, they’re criticised for ignoring their black heritage.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Just let the man live and carry on making awful movies.

Don't forget the racist whites who dont want him playing white roles.
