What you mean Tatum and Book had Kobe? Them guys didn’t play with him. They may have looked up to him, trained with him in the offseason, and become friends. I thought you were point was that Ayton needs someone on his team who is going to push him, be tough on him, and hold him accountable at being the greatest he can be.
You bringing up Butler and it not working seems counter to the what you’re saying Ayton needs.

Ayton is all powder.
Meaning once ayton got popped for peds. It was obvious ayton needed the recovery boost.
as well as the added muscle mass.
To even have confidence in the nba.
to do anything.
even walk and talk at the same time.
Once ayton cycled off .
Ayton went back to lame soft body weak muscle he never really had.
Probably because he was all powder back in high school.
Ayton also maybe pulling a thon maker in the nba.
While being older than what ayton really is listed as too.
Although ayton is what I call any foreign player.
Which is a euro.
Meaning ayton or a euro.
will not generally have the ferocity.
Even after enduring a deer in hwadlight adjustment period to domestic American daily life.
to play up and transistion.

As of right now.....Ayton is just turning out to be the atypical general euro who made the nba.
Who is totally a bust in relation to his draft position.
Especially after going to the nba finals and having all the necessary parts to win and lost. While never showcasing any skill attributed to his draft position consistently. To warrant keeping him.
or having him anchor a franchise.

i admit.
I do not like monty's roster management. Yet once ayton got popped. Monty may have had to internally reprimand ayton because of the pr for the situation. Plus we know the pay scale had to have been affected. Along with the time table
for the offer sheet with a suitable offer as well.

My qualm with ayton is how after he got popped.
