Seems like the type who just plays because he's 7 foot and athletic. With his tools and talent 22 and 12 should be his floor but he's content being the type of player that he is that shows flashes here and there of what he could do if he focused and put his mind to it.
I seen some espn segment and was talking about how he was in the band growing up and that was his first passion..

I think a lot of these 7 footers never really loved the game just was told this is
going to make you and US rich one day by the handlers that push themā€¦

The thing I don't get is...how do you get drafted to your home town and not ball out properly, not give effort, etc. You embarrassing yourself in front of people who been watching you since you were a kid.

Also...how the fukk do you not get along with Monty Williams, one of the nicest most respectful guys in all of American sports?!?? To the point you had that man yelling and shyt.

Keeping it real, how many regular joes give 100% at their day to day jobs? I mean Ayton clearly only views this as such and treats it accordingly. He does his job and is fairly decent at it.

Ayton was balling his first two years in the league then they asked him to buy into their system when CP# arrived. He was their second-best player on that finals run. That same off-season they didn't want to pay him and try to use his numbers against him. The following year he had his best season and was the second-best player on their record-breaking season. When Booker went down against they wouldn't have advanced if it wasn't for Ayton. Then during the Mavs series, the Mavs had no answer for Ayton but Monty never included him in the game plan. That same off-season they made him go out and get an offer before getting paid.

Monty is not the person you think he is. Monty plays favorites. He's only a players-coach to his favorites. When he coached New Orleans he always got into it with CP3. He also got into a screaming match with Eric Gordon on the court in New Orleans. He's the reason Eric Gordon wanted to leave New Orleans. Monty also had an issue with Jae Crowder. Monty hated Ayton and wanted him traded. Phoenix was a toxic situation for Ayton.
