Cormega is a top 10 emcee

Top 5 of the 2000’s

Bruh has one of the best catalogs in hip hop

Cormega one of the few emcees I listen to everyday

He's one of those dudes who seems to have a huge following online, but not in real life.

Mad cool dude, but I don’t know anyone who listens to him like that. Back in the SOHH days, there were a lot of people with bro in their Top 5. Sh*t was wild.

Yeah in the 2000’s the only other dude I knew who listened to him as much as I do is my brother in law but that was it

I’m from down south and a lot of friends didn’t really listen to him like that until I started telling them about his music and they too the time to hear me out

I was always buying his albums back then

Man whenever I go back and listening to Tha Realness and True Meaning, it takes me right back to where I was at that time :wow:

His verse on Affirmative Action :blessed:

My aunt brought me It Was Written from Tower Records back in the day and when I heard him on Affirmative Action!!!! Bruh!!! :damn::ohlawd:

I just had IWW on over the weekend!

"Affirmative Action" was really the sharpest I've ever heard him. I feel like his flow and delivery got a little choppy after that. Which I never understood. But AZ said that back then, all of them being around each other and working so closely made everyone better.

Cormega picks great beats and does what he does best. He dont go outside the box and fail dramatically. Realness is a ug classic imo.

Over time that means something. At same time i get why hes not rated higher because he didnt take the risks either.

Its a 2 way street. Nas took risks so hes rated higher.

I put him in like a just underneath the goats mc class, g rap, meth redman sean price cormega roc marci. Just all timers who are conistently good for a career but maybe not the albums of their peers.

This thread is old as fukk but in regards to the topic, Mega stands out because he has a mature approach to the street life. Not alot of cats approach it the way he does. He might not be the best spitter, but he clearly values the artistry and using hip-hop as a means to portray a message. It's not just entertainment
