This is the mentality that puts black folk in a box and I feel like this is the mentality the 90's babies rebell against. There shouldn't be a "standard" for what my hobbies, beliefs, interests, or personality is like based solely on race. The way I see it 90's kids refuse to be defined by something so rigid. I frankly thing that most of the disgust with the newer generation of black kids in this thread is secretly envy of the freedom that comes with not being confined by certain stereotypes. Theres some parts of yourself a lot of yall let atrophy because you were too afraid to venture outside what was supposed to define you as a black person.

Exactly!! steady pushing your own kind away. And to be honest the majority of us don't even realize we were cultured before we were slaves.

In the age of having so much information at your finger tips with the internet though :patrice:

:russ::heh::heh: Negroes stopped reading alllllong time ago. Now if you instagraming, vining, facebooking and tweeting some black history memes, that are cool and they can share. Some of them might get it, once their like count is at an insane amount.

Our generation was no different. The late 80's babies was like the 90's babies, the thing is the real world exposed us and caught us off guard. We wasn't prepared and a lot are just trying to make due. We wanted to believe is a color-blind soicety so bad which was never the case from Day 1. We avoided any stats underminding our race nor was it showed to us. It wasn't till we got older we were exposed to it.

:usure: Cause trying to force solidarity with most of you nikkas and niggles is a fruitless effort and can even get you killed. Let's be real, "black love" and "black unity" is pretty much a memory.

Do for delf. You'll live longer.
What a bytchmade tail between your legs, selfish mentality. Im in awe that you have the shamelessness to post this. This is exactly what the thread starter is talking about. Since when did it become acceptable to be an openly flamboyant shuffling house ******? On a hiphop site no less?

Yo, I have the same mentality as Tyler. Our gen doesn't give a fukk. And when older heads try to toss that on us, it slides off. We looking past that, doesn't mean we forgot where it comes from.

nikkaz have always been c00nin. I dont think 90s babies are much different than any other generation. ( I take that back, black folks in the 50,60s and mid 70s were on some revolutionary/civil rights/black power movement. So I gotta recognize that. It seemed like in the mid 70s thats when nikkaz started really c00nin. all the blacksploitation films and buck dancin nikkaz were doin was discusting

some could even argue that it continued into the 80s and 90s with alot of sketch comedies and black stand up. In Living Color, Dave Chapelle, Tyler Perry, Im gonnna Get You Sucka, I got The Hook Up, Im Bout It and all those other Low Bugdet Black films and images were certified c00n fests.

Its all about parents and the OGs teachin the younger generation about the struggle. Tyler the Creator seems to be totally lost. I wonder if dude had a father in his life :snoop:
