Why is being a "savage" promoted so much in our society?

Savages get to cause emotional pain and don't have to worry about experiencing emotional pain. It's the easier and less risky way to live. There's nothing cool about being the victim that became invested and ended up being played in the end.

A lot of people only want to use people for what they can get anyway especially while young. Now that so many people live this savage lifestyle of using people and playing a character until they get what they want it becomes an excuse. "Everyone else is doing it so why can't I do it?"
