Throw in some basic ass low tempo 808 beat, slap some fukking dark synths, and maybe some CAC playing an acoustic guitar riff

Everybody tryna be some cookie cutter version of the biggest supposed R&B artists that do the exact same shyt.

SHYT is HORRIBLE!

Where the fukk is the uptempo shyt, everyone trying to be all too cool for school and shyt. Seem like Bruno Mars and that other dude are the only one's even pushing the envelope a little and they're steady biting off old tracks people forgot about.

R&B fukking sucks now. Soul is non-existent as well. A mfer shouldn't have to listen to shyt from 20-30 years ago just to get a fukking vibe

Besides that, Ari Lenox is one of the few newer rnb artist I fuc with ...but she's more so neo soul

You run into some gems occasionally that have a real cool chill-ass, jazzy vibe:







But alot of it does sound like they try to copy the same vocals and beat from Giveon, Jhene Aiko (they even copy her look down to being mixed), and PND. Still, folks at least try to experiment with the sound and subject matter.

My main musical gripe is that Trap music is literally deader than damn Disco. The same ten ad-libs, four beats, dumb-ass subject matter, and rappers that sound like they all came from the same recording spots from the exact same neighborhood have been played out for over a decade now, but as long as it keeps selling, it'll stay around Im guessing.

The album overall was kinda underwhelming to me but he got some jams on there. Terrace Martin is talented as hell
