Its funny. At labor skate shop they sell palace. When the clothes come in they sell out immediately...but the boards stay there on sale for weeks. Its actually sad cause the feel of their decks are nice. Crisp wood mad pop last long.

Cause a lot of the time when brands get successful too fast they forget what got them there. They stop being ambitious and just stick to the usual formulas. So they end up becoming parodies of themselves

I remember i was involved in this skate contest in Bushwick back in 2013. I was shocked at how many brehs where there seriously. A black dude won second place.

Its crazy thinking back in the day when i was younger especially coming up skating in the 90s. People saw a black dude on a skateboard and they call you like an "oreo" or a "white boy" now skateboarding is cool....its funny. Lol.

You forget how many people buy skate gear from zumiez or pacsun, the x games, street league, thrasher, transworld skateboarding, skate shoes companies from dc to circa to huf, endorsements, videogames, skate demos, youtubes, skateparks, and thats just the past ten years alone...im not even gonna talk about 2005 and prior.

I started skating all the way in 1990 at the age of five so its no hate...im just saying.

I always liked Japanese gear that i came across but it was obscure and expensive as fukk.

I didnt even realize it and its funny cause Gold Watch was my favourite song on the cool. 8 years later I'm shopping and I'm like Lupe was on all this shyt from time.

I recently copped some sweatpants from a brand called Minotaur. Simple design, but warm and attractive as shyt. Them shyts turn heads.

Yeah you're right I completely forgot about zumiez.. But tbh all those stores you named most people ain't shipping for skate gear. Every dude I know who skates shops at local spots. Zumiez and pacsun are for high school teen age girl and boys, people who don't even skate.
