Not all the founders felt that way about religion, if they did the God/creator references in the declaration of independence/constitution won't be there.

We all know Christianity led to the rise of western civilization as evident of the cross in many flags of Western European countries.

Even if it is, the founding father's were mostly deists and didn't believe in building a government based around Christianity. It's true. I find it funny how theists always assume that someone who believes in any possible vague deity is 100% in line with them.

Like many religious ppl, including myself formerly, you need to read a little bit as well as stop being short sighted

The cross is not exclusive to christianity and it existed long before(in other religions) it became the "official" symbol....

Secondly, how can you get ANY worse than what we live/have lived in? People are starving/dying daily, the Indians were completely obliterated(and I'd say they were pretty successful with their own religions), the Black race was almost done the same during slavery, Hitler partially acted from a religious perspective in his killing of jews. All this and MORE happens in religious countries, led by religious leaders.

I dont define myself as an atheists or anything really, but how can you act like the world would be any worse with an atheist in charge? People immediately judge/discriminate against someone on their job, in public etc based on their religion. How is that good for the world?
