Ok, so I copped a switch with Zelda and Mario. Paid cash for switch and Zelda, and then traded in Mario kart 8, BOW Wii U and battlefield 1 for Mario Odyssey. So I kept the Wii U

Possibly my favorite Mario 3D game, I like it even more than Odyssey. This game, Captain Toad and NSMBU makes the console worth owning.

Seriously, everything is being ported to the switch. I have at least 10 Wii U games, some still in plastic wrap, but most, if not all, will be on Switch. Should I just trade it in? Honestly I'm legit pissed that Nintendo finessed me with that goofy ass system. Oh well, I'm still getting a switch, but I don't know if I should just trade in for it or buy it and keep my wii U

Nah. Portability is a huge selling point and it costs less than building a solid rig. I wouldn't really recommend PC gaming at all tbh but that's another discussion.

Wii U is low key a living room Switch. My son still pulls out the control pad to play his favorite games while he's watching tv.

Super Mario 3D World has more replay value than Odyssey imo and that came out 5 years ago. You can have 4 players w/ Mario, Luigi, Princess and Toad all on the screen at once. I'm still trying to collect green stars to this day.

Other classic games that probably won't see Switch are:
Captain Toad
Tank Tank Tank (Party favorite)
Smash Bros Wii U (best Smash ever)
Guitar Hero Live Wii U ($30 on clearance)
New Super Mario/Luigi Wii U
Wii U Sports Club.
Splatoon Wii U (has local multiplayer which the Switch one doesn't have)
It can also play all my Wii games.

Yea I bought Splatoon 2 off Kijiji and gave it to my nephew as soon as I saw it was 1 player only. fukk that.
My Wii U Splatoon has local 2 player.

I keep the Wii U because it's hacked. Once the Switch is jailbroken, I'll put the Wii U away for good.
