Black or white. Southerners, in general, are pretty insecure when it comes to Northerners. White Southerners and Black Southerners have a lot in common when it comes to their disdain/insecurity for ppl in the Northeast.

White Southerners, in particular, have hated the North (whether it's Black or White Northerners) since the Civil War and I think certain characteristics of that hate rubbed off on Black Southerners to despise Black Northerners but for different reasons.

The main reason Black Southerners have insecurity issues along with disdain for Black Northerners is due to Hip-Hop. That's where it all started. It dates back to the 90s and early 00s when Northerners specifically ones from NYC didn't respect the South's brand of Hip-Hop (which imo they need to get over it).

The crazy thing is that although Californians and Northerners have had more intense rivalries in the past compared to the brief yet non-existent clash between the East and the South. I would say things are more neutral and not as intense (if at all) anymore.

:mjlol:
Why would the South be insecure about creation of musical genres when the south is the birthplace of MOST forms created here. You think hip hop was created in a vacuum? There’s no hip hop without the southern groundwork laid before it’s creation. And how we need to get over anything when most new NY rappers gotta ride the south’s wave to get play.

When it comes to STRICTLY HIP-HOP...not getting that love/co-sign from us back when The Source and all that shyt mattered hurt y'all souls deep down inside and have been disliking New Yorkers ever since. It's the same thing with the West Coast even though that rivalry died down years ago. They started disliking us when us New Yorkers (from The Source to the fans) weren't showing any love or co-signs towards their music.

“ A New York nikka might talk a lot or brag a lot but a New York nikka will NEVER condone a cac calling a black man no matter where they from the N word. “

I posted a video of a cac saying n word freely around a bunch of black new yorkers and the first you did was put on your cape for a cac and responded with a c00n statement. “ HE WANTS TO BE BLACK SO WE GIVING HIM A PASS! “ :mjlol:

I keep forgetting that your not a AA so you see nothing wrong.

I think a lot of the brehs down south get agitated when they're not given their just due. The south did have the nation rocking for a few summers in 2000.. But nothing like how NY hip hop had this nation rocking in the 80s and 90s.. Seems like everyone in that Genre was from that region..

You posted a video of a white rapper trying to be black

You did not post a video of a white racist calling a black man the N word out of hate in front of other blacks.

Trust me I understand that common sense and comprehension is a difficult thing for y’all down there.

The south should get over it just like how NY got over it and plays southern music in all their radio stations today.

The south doesn’t get a pass being mad over the source awards in 2021
