1.) looks 50/50 to me. I'm not counting people who post more than once as more than one poster.
2.) again, stop trying to think for other people when you cant even properly think for yourself. you don't know what youre talking about.
3.) he admitted the landscape had changed. what the hell does that tell you? this entire mobb deep argument is stupid. please stop stinking up my thread with this chit.

1) It's not 50/50. It's lopsided in favor of people who don't agree that it's classic (including people who said that it was a good album, but not classic)
2) take your own advice
3) saying the "landscape" or "climate" changed is not the same as saying an artist is "borderline old school". By that logic, The Lox would also be "borderline old school" being that the "climate" or "landscape" changed between Money, Power, Respect and We Are The Streets.

the difference is, the lox pretty much WERE the climate change.

the climate didn't change on them. theyre one of the acts that changed the climate.

BIG DIFFERENCE.

The Lox were not the climate change. In 2000, the bling bling era was in full effect from the music to the way people dressed. That wasn't The Lox. On a street level, X was the shift not the Lox. Nobody ever said they were gonna "Lox the game". When 50 debuted (well came back) in 2003, he immediately got DMX comparisons in terms of how everything shifted. The Lox didn't do that. As usual, you making up fairy tale fantasies to support your agenda.

We talking about the climate shift in Hip Hop, well, Bling Bling was in full effect. Most rappers of that era were bragging and flexing platinum chains, charms, watches, and bracelets. Platinum denim ruled. Yet you're going to ask me if I go outside.

Nobody on this board is more guilty of attempting to rewrite history than you. When you can't face facts you make up BS to push your narrative much like the BS you spewing about The Lox being the shift.

That's to be expected from someone posting from some remote basement in Milwaukee.

I was unaware forums hated on it and I been on them since not long after it lol, might be the case just hadn't come across the topic often probably, Swizz hate I knew of, never hated him myself just preferred Dame Grease. I always fukked with the album personally, still revisit it sporadically.

I accidentally read these posts in full, by accident. now I gotta respond. SMH.

no. there is never just ONE climate shift in hip-hop.

we're talking about the east coast. otherwise, mobb deep - even in their actual heyday in the '90s, are just a blip on the radar.

muscially, 50 cent & DMX had minimal influence on the landscape.

not only are you speaking on something that you clearly know nothing about, but you havnt even grasped the concept of what youre arguing about. why do you always embarrass yourself like this??
